Although, I don't shoot allot of weddings, they are a nice change of pace from the commercial photography. The attached photo is from a wedding that I shot last month. As always, location
is an important factor to what you can accomplish.
For as many times as I have photographed this area over the years, this time it was different. And, the attached photo is not what most people would have seen even standing next to me. This is the part of photography that is the most elusive. To be able to envision what is beyond our normal vision. The photo is a combination of two extreme wide angle images stitched together to create one vertical panoramic.
For most of my commercial shoots, I hope for a clear day with blue sky's. But, the more interesting shots seem to have less than perfect weather. This one was not only fogged
Light and composition are easy to work with in a still life, but when the subject is in motion, it becomes a challenge. Once I had the concept of what I wanted to capture, it took many exposures until the final shot. Even if this shot was set up it would still take allot of try's to make it work.
This photograph of the Reading Eagle was taken for Irwin & Leighton. It is located on Penn Street in Reading, PA. Random parked cars were the biggest challenge on this shot and I used the moving traffic to obscure them. The final shot is a combination of about five exposures.
I am based in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA and have been a professional photographer for over twenty years. My main subject matter is architecture, people and product.
